To make quality education affordable to low and medium income earners, Ritman University has drastically reduced its fees. The decrease was necessitated by the current economic situation of Nigeria.
As a people-friendly institution for entrepreneurship, Ritman University made a cut in its tuition and other fees in response to the yearnings of many parents who showed interest in enrolling their wards but could not afford to pay the initial fees.
A release issued by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Celestine Ntuen indicates that the tuition fees, earlier fixed at four hundred thousand Naira has been reduced to two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N250,000). Incidental fees for first year students has been reduced to one hundred thousand Naira (N100,000).
Professor Ntuen said the university’s Governing Council had listened to the concerns of many parents and decided to reduce the fees so as to give more students opportunity to enjoy the Ritman University education which has been acclaimed as being of international standard and comparable to what obtains in reputable universities overseas.
The Vice Chancellor also noted that the private university’s fees are not as expensive as people think, considering that there are no hidden charges and extra costs such as fees for projects, laboratory, compulsory books, handouts, development levies and other charges collected by public universities.
The university runs a flexible two-semester programme that makes it possible for candidates to get admitted in both first and second semesters. Candidates who have passed the 2015 or 2016 UTME are invited to enroll at Ritman University as admission is still open. Online registration is at www.ritmanuniversity.org.ng
Ritman University charges one of the lowest fees compared to other quality private tertiary institutions in the country.
The university is run by internationally-acclaimed scholars and administrators and operates in partnership with reputable institutions in the United States of America. It recently signed a memorandum of understanding for academic exchange with Guilford College in North Carolina, USA.
Admission is also ongoing at Ritman College, the secondary school arm of the university, which has produced the best results in the National Examinations Council’s Senior School Certificate Examination and has emerged State Basketball Champions in Akwa Ibom.
